I've been a runner most of my life. I've raced every distance from the 400m to the 100mile and beyond. I spent over a decade as a television producer and then made the transition into coaching. I love to run and race but I also love to help others fall in love with the sport as well. Running can be such a powerful tool for both physical and mental health. It's one of the most basic forms of movement but it's a skill that's largely overlooked and honestly it all starts inside the mind. My motto is simple but it takes a long time to embrace: brain before legs. Training the body is great but to get to the next level, you've got to dig inside.
I coach every distance from beginner to ultramarathon as well as multi-sport endurance athletes including Sprint, Olympic and Ironman Tri's and I’m also a nationally certified personal trainer through NASM and ISSA. You can typically find me racing on the roads and trails all over the country but I also love volunteering and serving other runners at those same events. I also lead a group of women around the mountains of East Tennessee, as the head of a localTrail Sisters chapter.
I’m lucky enough to run for lululemon athletica, Bakline NYC, Picky Bars and The Long Run Running Shop.
